My beloved Mike is gone.

More than that is hard to say just now. I think it will be a bit before I am coherent.

There is a post on Making Light.

Please pass the word to the people who loved him, liked his work, and so on. There will certainly be some sort of memorial service, but it won't be for at least a couple of weeks. Late October is the best I can give right now. More when I have it.

Hug your dear ones.

Martin and I send our deepest sympathy. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.

Minicon won't be the same without him. Hell, FANDOM won't be the same.

My God, Elise, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. How utterly awful.

I am so very sorry for your loss. The world is darker for his absence.

Oh, my dear. I'm so very sorry.

The blessings of having known him on all who loved and miss him.

Huge hugs to you, Elise.

Oh, Elise, Elise. I am so very sorry. Call any time.

I've just learned the news of your loss, of yourself and of this LJ, all in the same morning.

It should not have been thus. And for all of these things, I'm sorry.

We are so sorry that Mike has gone. Our thoughts are with you.

K. & B

I still don't have the words. I miss him horribly, and I barely even knew him; I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling.

I know you're getting offers to help from all sides, many of them from people who are far closer to you both physically and emotionally. Even so, if I can help in some way, please let me know what I can do.

In lieu of anything more concrete, I send you hugs and best wishes.

Oh Elise, I'm so very sorry.

**hugs** and condolences. I'm so very sorry to hear. :(

*hugs* I'm so sorry. I wish I'd had a chance to know him.

So sorry for your loss. (Met you briefly at the Worldcon in Glasgow last year in the company of papersky, you were starting the packing up and generously gave me an ocean jasper pendant.) I have enjoyed John M. Ford's writing very much and regret that we will see no more of it.
