    Time Event
    12:46a
    iTunes amusement
OK, I'm a little time-shifted, but hey. I will sleep when I sleep -- and I am sleeping a lot.

Meanwhile, iTunes just segued from The Dry River Boys singing "The Model Church" to P-Funk singing "Tear The Roof Off The Sucker" and I am mightily amused.

    ArtLog: upcoming sale
OK, since the second half of my WisCon got a bit... chaotic, and since I have to pay the nice printer for the chapbook and the nice photo developer for the photos that are being tipped in and the nice hotel catering department for the nom nom nominos for the Very Shiny Evening Of Readings And Celebration, therefore there will be a Sudden Shiny Sale.

Not that sudden, though; I'm giving you a little warning. It'll start sometime this coming week, and it will last at least three days.

    Whee!
    2:17p
    rippling outward
I like knowing where things go. That's one of the reasons I most appreciate people keeping the contact/copyright info intact when they repost things; I almost always give permission when asked if people can repost things, but having them ask also satisfies my curiosity as to how far out the ripples have gone from a particular piece of writing.

So today I got my first repost/reprint request from Iraq.
    2:24p
    uh...
Why is there a Jeep with a United Nations logo parked in front of my house?

on internet pile-ons: something to ponder
What should be done to somebody who sends a really horrible hateful message? In a thread elsewhere on the net, back in January, here were some suggestions:

All sortsa unpleasantries within, followed by the rest of the story. )
    6:11p
    storm light
If you're in the Twin Cities right now and you want to see a perfect example of storm light, go outside. It's bright, absolutely still, and everything is outlined with that unearthly clarity.

Me, I am going to go pick some lilies of the valley, because I want a bouquet to huddle beside when it cuts loose. Hope the tree does OK. I should go give it a beer.

6:27 Raining now. Still pretty mellow.

6:29 Is that hail then? No, maybe not.

6:30 I see there was a tornado warning. Also I see that they've cancelled it. Good, then. Ooo, nice lightning there.

6:32 Huh. NEXRAD says it is indeed a hailstorm. Where are my good weather animation links? Hmpf.

6:34 Ooo, that sucker up by Princeton is swinging around to draw a bead on us.

uh-oh (writing department) - The Nine Noble Virtues
Somebody wished for the Nine Noble Virtues in LOLcat.

Why do those impulses always strike me late at night? Why, Ceeling Cat, why?

    Hee hee hee! )

OK, I feel better for having gotten that taken care of, at least for now.
