ArtLog: work in progress OK, the blue and clear necklace is almost done -- it just needs a clasp yet -- and it's called "The Lady Who Looked In."
The necklace-crown still wants its pearls. Possibly it will get them later today.
There's a green/yellow glass necklace almost done, too. Its name is still rising from the clouded waters of possibility, though. I'll let you know as soon as I know it. (Names sometimes occur when I see the beads for the first time, some of them come to me slowly as I work on the piece, and others aren't apparent until after it's finished. A few pieces never have names at all. And sometimes their people rename them when the piece arrives. It's pretty much all good, though, I figure. Let many names bloom.)
Others in contemplation: * clear glass necklace * a thing with brass and silver, plus mustard/coral/chartreuse glass, which is much better than it sounds * a dancy little clear colors thing that I cannot describe, except to say that it has a couple of beads left over from the blue and clear one * an amazing candyglass fantasia in yellow, green, turquoise and blue, with accents of periwinkle and purple * a red thing * something called "Red Hair and Black Lightning" which may or may not work * a fundraiser piece that is going to necessitate some quick shipping when I get home -- more on that later * a gazillion earring possibilities
Wish me luck, eh? I am shaky and wobbly today, but making progress. |

ArtLog: work in progress, and a question about where your elisian shinies have been The new green/yellow necklace has a name now. It's "The Secret Pleasures of Turtles." (Yep, there's a glass turtle on it. I like turtle beads.) And apropos of a comment from athenais in the last post, where have your elisian shinies been? Have you been wearing them? (If you're saving them for a special occasion, I suggest declaring tomorrow is a special occasion. Make something up, and celebrate it: Walk in the Sunshine Day, Cosmic Thursday Appreciation Society, whatever.) |
