ArtLog: of progress, and of work in progress, and of happiness All the invoices are out. Yay!
I have given in to inspiration, and boy howdy did it show up with a roar. There are new earrings on the workbench, and most of a bracelet, and about eight other pairs of earrings laid out ready to be made, all of them in the series called "The Post-Colonial Literature of Elves." They use those wonderful beads TNH and I found the most recent time I was in New York, and oh, they make me happy. So I sat at the workbench, not caring that my shoulder still hurts, not caring that my Crohn's disease is still in flare-up, not caring about eleventy-seven little pains and ills, and worked. Josh Ritter was on the CDbox singing about falling in love with somebody named Marie, and the sunlight was slanting in through the window and falling on the stones in the basket on my lap, and I was thinking about people I love near and far, and being glad of it.
And now I have told you this, and will go take a break and eat some food, which needs doing.
Life is good. Thank you, all of you who are helping make it so. |
