progress Have achieved bath, breakfast, and meds. So far, so good. Getting out of tub was difficult, though, with the silly shoulder. Distracted myself by saying "Ow" in every inflection I could think of. Managed to suppress cussing after first two iterations. Also, my bath book of the moment is Georgette Heyer's "Charity Girl," which contained the sentence "But if you was to drop the high toby, who's to say you won't find yourself foundering in a regular hasty-pudding?", which made me think of "all sewed up in horse pies," which made me laugh. So that part's good too. OK. Onward. | | 12:59p |
progress Got the remainder of the March BotMo pulled, and the info sheets are printing right now. Did one of my PT exercises (stretchy-band pulls, straight ahead) and it actually felt like it made stuff better. This is the first time in a while that's been true, so big yay for that.
Now, lunch. So far, while the nausea is not gone, it's abated somewhat. | | 4:31p |
progress, complaints choirs and amusement Got mortgage paid (yay!) and all the March info sheets printed for Katie. Am currently printing and assembling the sheets for the BotMo leftovers sale, also for Katie. And I have received some useful stuff for the upcoming AUW women's retreat Art Chapel, as well as some sewing stuff I'm going to give to selkie_b, because I bet she has a use for it. And I've noticed that when I'm dealing with bill-paying I find it tremendously soothing to listen to the Complaints Choir of Helsinki. (OK, it was at 5:53 that I literally laughed out loud. mrissa, you have probably seen this already, yes?) For more info about complaints choirs worldwide, check out http://www.complaintschoir.org/. The Singapore Complaints Choir was recently in the news when the government of Singapore banned all public performances; see the news page at the aforementioned link. OK, back to work. P.S. Nausea abated even more. So yay for that. I need to take a break soon again, though. | | 10:48p |
more progress, and a hard thing to do but a good one Wrote some on a thing that needs finishing tomorrow; it'll happen, but I'm at the alligator-wrestling stage, and it's the part where the alligator is sneering. Still, progress.
Handed the March BotMo and the BotMo leftovers to Katie, who will ship them at the end of the month. Woo! (And there was a leftover bird from February, so the person whose birdie broke a wing will get a replacement bead.)
Watched a bit of entertainment with the Juan, who has since gone to bed. And now I am doing a very hard thing, but a good thing: despite being just barely into a new necklace (more purple! with a mermaid in it, I think), I have put my tools down, and am about to have my snack/bath/meds, and prep for bed. This is an attempt to shift my sleep earlier, and get better sleep, and also to be able to do workbench work in the morning light, which will probably cheer me up a bit too, in this season of slush. So that's the thing to do which is hard but good.
I'll be in bed before midnight. This is a win. Tomorrow, more work. And e-mail, which I owe to everybody and her mermaid.
Lyla tov, you guys. |
