ArtLog: ai-yi-yi, and new work I was not supposed to be making a major necklace. Certainly I was not supposed to be forgetting about lunch and working straight through without a break, which has made my shoulder hurt a considerable amount more than even before. (I want to get my body in good enough shape to sustain the demands of art, that's what I want.) I was supposed to be editing a story and paying bills, neither of which can wait, really, but instead, art had me in its mighty claws. Hence the ai-yi-yi.
"Twilight Has Two Doors" necklace: many opals with purple flash, glass of various types, and color-treated shells/pearls, or whatever they really are. I don't know, actually, except pretty. No, beyond pretty, in this necklace.
I hurt like blazes, but I am satisfied.
Pictures when I can, but the sun will have to cooperate, because, well, opals, you know?
And now I am going to have lunch and take stock of what's left of the day, and figure out what's to be done. I think I'll have lunch in the bathtub, though, because it's going to take some serious hot water to unlock what's hurting now.
Still, satisfied. And that's something. |
