    ArtLog: BotMo leftovers sale now
Go here for fifty-seven bundles of beady goodness.

    ArtLog: whoosh!
I'm not surprised about the Astronomy Beads of the Month leftovers selling out right away, but I was a little startled that Blood & Roses went whoosh nearly immediately. In my opinion, the great un-grabbed bargains are the remaining Mermaids MOAM and any of the Inner Mysteries ones.

I'm still working on photographing necklaces and stuff, but I do plan to put up a sale post. I'll try my best to give you some warning, though. (I am still a very slow loris today, however. But I did sleep well, despite strange dreams of dormitories in bizarre space military academies. You wouldn't believe the gymnasium work; sort of a cross between phy ed class and Cirque du Soleil.)

OK, back to work. Also, I have edits due on a story, so I am a slow loris with a head full of words.

OK, this has very, very cool possibilities.

ArtLog: new work and work in progress
Went upstairs to put something away, and some beads jumped on me. There is now a new pendant of gorgeous simplicity, since the bead was too cool to put much fiddly stuff around it. I've been saving it for a while.

Same for the beads in the necklace that's almost done: "To Know Is Not The Same Thing As To Understand, #5," which still needs its clasp. I used that heavy heavy sixteen-gauge sterling wire I have also been saving; this was possibly not the smartest thing to do while I'm in physical therapy for the shoulder, but I was careful, and it really does give that galvanized-fencing look I want for that particular series. (Joan Vinge has one of them, which I find tremendously flattering.)

OK, back to work I go. Photos still need taking... and I still need to post the stuff that made it home from Potlatch, and everything. (Must not think of how much there is to do, or I shall get discouraged. A bit at a time, don't overdrive the headlights, and keep going. Right.)

    ArtLog: even more in progress
Oh, dear. I went upstairs to put something away, and now art has me in its mighty talons and I am drunk on opals.

There are these opals.... I didn't expect to use them up in only two necklaces, but there it is. The first one is shapeshifting... it was part of "The Mermaid Dreams of Land," which then calved like an iceberg, and then it was its own thing, which it still is, but I am waiting for its name to come clear -- and in the meantime, it's eating opals. Lots of opals.

    It's glorious, though.

The other necklace the opals want is the purple one. I should warn my purple folks, though, because this is going to be a very, very pricey necklace. But oh, those opals.

See? Drunk on opals. They keep singing to me.

    OK, back to work.
