ArtLog: lessons Who wants to learn some wandering wire techniques this coming year? We talked about this a while back, and I taught a few folks in a few places, and it's time to figure out what 2007 holds for teaching and learning.
The places I might be:
New York (late January) Boston (around February 16-18, for Boskone) Madison (around May 25-28, for WisCon) Minneapolis (most of the time)
Cost:
by arrangement (sliding scale)
(All responses are screened, and nobody sees 'em but me. Thanks!) | | 10:49a |
ArtLog: up to something (again or still) What, only a couple of days left in December?
I feel a clearance sale coming on. | | 11:29a |
ArtLog: clearance sale, and not-so-incidentally the (under construction) list of all current pieces The big list of all current pieces will be getting a bunch more stuff posted to it in a few minutes. In the meantime, I marked a few things down, and will mark more down later today. Also, I'll be taking a picture of an experimental necklace-crown in brass and yellow/orange/red glass beads, and putting it up there; it'll show what I've been working on lately. | | 7:20p |
ArtLog: new work "Go On And Give It A Name" necklace-crown: sterling silver wire, sterling silver chain, glass flowers, Swarovski crystal including some that they don't make any more, and an amazing lampwork bead someone sent me.I added it to the big post with all the current work, way at the end. Watch for more, too. Hungry now, though, so am stopping to eat. | | 9:22p |
ArtLog: in progress When one is full of fierce and wild tides of emotion, sometimes the best thing to do is to grab a pliers and a bunch of silver.
I'll see you guys in a little bit. Will try to post the photographs of the brass thing I made earlier this week, so you can see the new direction the wire-work is taking. Whatever I'm about to make might wind up in the new style, too.
Wish me luck. Of the good sort, please. And I wish such for you. |
