Worldcon, T minus howevermany hours and counting I'm here. In Boston, I mean. Tomorrow we fetch the rest of the merch from the Post Office, who made zee little goof, and we go set up at the Hynes.
Sometime tomorrow afternoon I will make an initial soap run. I'm sure it won't be the only soap run. If I see some likely fellow soap runners, I'll be pleased to make a group expedition; if not, I shall go procure some soap on spec, figuring we'll have enough people to divvy things up with later. (And if not, well, it's not going to go to waste. I personally guarantee this. Heh.) Look for me around the concourse tomorrow afternoon, if you're up for a soap run. I will be in the dealers room doing set-up most of the time, and the soap run will be a break for me.
Soon I will be there and it will be a convention. Until then, there's being good food and conviviality and fun and deep conversations. You know, the usual signs of a good fannish time. | | 10:44p |
Might need some soap angels.... My hip has been going in and out. Without me. If it stays in, and if I get my final setup done before 10:15 tomorrow morning, I will go to Lush myself. If not, I will need at least one soap angel. My dealer table is in section G, number 12. Come find me and I'll let you know the state of the soap apa.
Also, my programming is all tomorrow and Friday. At 2, I'm moderating something, and at 4, I'm moderating something else. (I left my program book under the table, so I'm not sure which is which.) Friday at 5 I am doing a solo presentation (about which I am rather nervous, actually) called "Making necklaces with stories in them."
If I do really well this convention, I may do a Haiku Earring Challenge at my table on Monday. Depends on whether I sell enough stuff to clear space out for it. Either that, or maybe we'll do a Haiku Earring Party someplace.
So are you at Worldcon? What have you done so far? |
