This is why I had to have those dinosaur bone beads. I mean, look: black and red. I could get drunk on the colors and shapes in these beads.

I'm glad it worked out well! There has been a huge jump in skill since you got it, believe me. You were always better than that old camera you had.

Canon G9. [info]athenais, who is an excellent photographer and who is very familiar with my jewelry, said it was a camera that could do both point-and-shoot and more sophisticated stuff, that it would perform really really well on the extreme close-up stuff I needed, and that I was unlikely to outgrow it but that at the same time it would lure me to learn more. It was exactly what I needed, and I happened to luck into a substantial discount, so grabbed it. I have never regretted it; it paid for itself in the first eight months of use.
