*PLEASE NOTE: Some of the wood key charms in various earrings and pendants have been sprayed with a matte finish sealer to help protect them, but they are still fragile, as they are printed paper laminated to wood which was then laser-cut. Please treat them gently, and do not get them wet, and don't store them in sunlight, as I suspect they may fade if you do that. Thanks.
Named pendants: all gone!
... "Atomic Scarab Lounge" pendant: ceramic, dyed pearl, sterling silver.$50 $35 SOLD

... "A Fortuitous Meeting Indeed" pendant: a green stone that appears to exhibit aventurescence or something very like it, an old key, some color-treated cultured freshwater pearls, and a lot of sterling silver wire. The photos after the ones of it in my hands show some of the aventurescence. Also, the stone swings freely on the wire, as shown by the photos after the one with the tag, because I rotated it a bit to demonstrate. It hangs down nicely when you wear it, though; I just like it swinging freely because it trembles a tiny bit as you move, which gives the aventurescence a chance to play a little.$48 $33 SOLD

Named necklaces: two left, plus "The Waters of Twilight"
... "Carnival of Sinners" necklace: glass and sterling silver.$345 $245 $225 $200 $165 $150 SOLD
... "Doll with a Ghost in It, II" necklace: glass, wood, plastic, vintage buttons, sterling silver, a tiny glass bottle with a pearl and some really spooky corroded pins in it, and so on. This is a major piece of work. It was on hold for a very long while, but it's up for grabs now.$725 $500 $400 SOLD
"My Tidepool Beloved necklace: glass, Peruvian opal, aquamarine, prehnite, prasiolite, lampwork, sterling silver. This necklace has a detachable ornament that can be put wherever you like it; the necklace may also possibly be worn as a belt. (Or I suppose you could make the world's chunkiest wraparound bracelet.) It's seventy-six and a half inches long without the ornament.$480 $320 $285 $250 $225 $200
... "The Salmon of Wisdom's Last Will and Testament" necklace: glass and sterling silver.$225 $175 $155 $150 $115 $100 SOLD

"The Waters of Twilight Are Endless" necklace, or bracelet, or earrings, or...something: This is a thing I made and keep adding to, and keep taking lengths off to sell to people, so it's a perpetual project. Bracelet, necklace, whatever you like, just tell me the length. It's $2.50 per inch for the last four hours of the sale, and clasps are $3.
Necklace-crowns: all gone!
... "And Woven All of Delight" necklace-crown: pearls and sterling silver.$325 $275 $230 $210 $175 $165 $150 SOLD
... Blue and silver necklace-crown: sterling silver, Swarovski crystal, blue glass spirals. It wants at least a size twelve person, and would be really really good on somebody over size sixteen, though as always the architecture of people varies too wonderfully to be captured by those numbers. Still, it wants somebody with a good big body, and it's definitely the kind of necklace for a person who says, "Oh, I could never wear something like that; I have no neck, and you need a long neck for those." Ha, I say, and also bwa and ha; let me show you how good this can look on you! This one was stashed and forgotten about. So... let's say $200. Heckuva deal, too. It's got great lines. SOLD
... Shell and stone necklace-crown: a fine necklace-crown with bits of color from the undersides of some shell beads. I turned them upside down to show off the shade, augmented them with agate slabs and a piece of wonderfully distressed shell I found on a beach in South Carolina, glass beads and a mystery stone, and worked the sterling silver wire to look like ripples interacting with the light on the water. Medium-sized necklace-crown, but could be smallened if you needed that. This, too, was stashed and never officially priced, so..... for the sale, it can be$200 $165 $150 $99 $89 $85 $79 $69, and is there no mermaid-friend or shore-lover here who could use such a thing? I lure you. The necklace sings its siren song. Louder it sings, and louder still. (It's the one you mostly see here and here.) SOLD
Tektites!
Excellent birthday gifts or tokens of esteem for good science geeks of any age. Some are suitable for wire-wrapping; others are a bit too large and heavy for that, but are nifty pocket pieces or desk toys. Cool things to awaken a sense of wonder in kids, too: this thing is a piece of splash glass, caused by a meteor that struck the earth and kicked up the sand so fast and far up into the sky that the glassy material it became still bears the marks of its re-entry through the atmosphere. The more expensive tektites have been selected because they show a classic teardrop shape, and you can see the ablation pitting on them. I love tektites so much.

Meteorite beads!
These are all from NWA869; my friendly neighborhood meteorite dealer says:
... 10mm round: $9 per bead (chosen randomly from group shown or from the rest of their strand) 6 SOLD - ALL GONE
12mm round:$12 Oh, #%$#! I typed the wrong price! These are actually $15 per bead (chosen randomly from group shown or from the rest of their strand). I will honor the erroneous price on the three that sold while the error was posted, but the price now is the actual $15 it should be. Very sorry about that. (And even sorrier that I seem to have lost one of the darned things. *sigh*) 10 SOLD, 7 left (yay! there were some left after I sorted beads for BotMo!)
About these round beads: my supplier says the lapidarist is not making any more of these sizes, instead concentrating on larger and more remunerative beads; when these are gone, that's it, except for the ones in the Astronomy BotMo packages. By the way, if you want one of these made into a pendant on sterling silver or gold filled wire, I can do that for an additional parts-and-labor charge of $5(sterling silver) or $10 (gold filled).

Dinosaur bone beads!
Please note: I have a very good camera, and am doing my best to show you what I see in the beads, but under some lighting they will look a lot drabber. I used natural light coming in through the window, and no flash. All the colors you see are in those beads, but from a distance, they mostly look brown. Once you get close, though, it's all there. The little holes in the bone were filled in by various colors of minerals.

gold-washed glass beads: The seller said, "24 karat gold washed!" I actually have no idea what that means, but they're pretty and they stay very shiny. They were expensive. Dunno how many are here. $5, sure to be a seriously good deal.
garden mix #1: leaves and fruit! $4
garden mix 2: very shiny! $2
Matched jasper (mostly ocean jasper) bead pairs: Selected for my own use, but I got distracted. This is a rare chance to buy something that's literally the exact thing I'd use. Eight numbered pairs available; $5 per pair.
Bead packages by color: 8 left
These beads mixes may contain some or all of the following: glass, wood, plastic, pearls, and/or stone of many different kinds. I haven't used many plastic beads - most are the lavender-pink rounds resembling like beach glass -- so you're mostly getting glass and stone.
... snowflake mix #1: Haven't actually counted these, so you're probably getting a ridiculously good deal, since I often estimate way too low, but hey, I'm OK with that. I see four of the AB lacy rounds, an AB fishy, at least ten real pearls (cultured freshwater, to be exact; they're the round or oval ones, not those little faceted pearlized rondelles, which are not real pearls but are still fun to use), and a bunch more goodies, so... $10 SOLD
snowflake mix #2: it's a mystery, but I think I saw a few Swarovski tiny bicones in here. $6
... rose mix #1: There are at two (at least) big pink opalite glass flattened oval beads, and at least one smaller twisted oval bead of the same material, and they are so much better in person than in these photos. I count at least eight of those cranberry-colored glass spiral beads with AB shimmer on one side, plus a few little rosy-colored metallic beads, and other goodies. (And if you purchase this bag, I'll tell you something about one of the beads that may surprise you. Well, unless you bought a certain BotMo package, in which case you already know what I'm talking about. Hee!)$12 $10 SOLD
red mix #1: it's a mystery. $2
yellow-brown mix #1: it's a mystery.$7 $6
olive mix #1: it's a mystery.$5, because some of the ceramic beads are chipped, alas.
... pale green mix #1: There's a large faceted round prehnite bead in here that cost me $1 several years back, plus two even larger lovely matched prehnite beads in the curved rectangular shape I always think of as "perfume bottles." (Gotta love the inclusions in prehnite, too.) There's some green stone (is it dyed? is it natural?) that was sold to me as "grass-green agate," though it is neither grass-green nor exhibiting striations that might suggest agate nature, but it's still cool, and a long piece pierced near the end which was sold to me as "apple-green agate" which hath not striations either, but there ya go: nomenclature is a slippery thing in bead markets. There are a couple of metallic beads of icy pale green, some unknown stone beads, and I'm not sure what all. The prehnite is the serious prize, but the other stuff is nifty, too. $12 SOLD
... green mix #1: That exceptionally interesting rectangular bead is furnace glass. I love the clear encasement. There are also some very high-quality little malachite rounds in here, and even a big round azurite-malachite bead, which is pretty nice too, and cost a fair bit. I had a heck of a time photographing this mix because some of the stone beads of unknown material seemed to keep changing color when I moved from windowside to interior light; I don't know if it's really doing that, or if it's just my imagination, but those beads look green when I pick them up, but do all sorts of strange tricks as I moved them around to photograph them. What are they? Your guess is as good as mine at this point; they were in an unlabelled baggie in my bead stash. (I thought for a while maybe apatite. Now I just don't know. They're cool, though.) At least 15 malachite rounds, the azurite-malachite big round, the curious irregular polished stone nugget tricky-colored beads... oh, call it$18 $15. SOLD
green mix #2: it's a mystery. $5
... aqua mix #1: The two elongated irregular nugget beads are aquamarine, from a string I've been hoarding like mad. I think the eight flat oval beads are amazonite, though I may be wrong on that. They are much nicer in person. There are a lot of small faceted tapered oval glass beads, and they are that translucent glass I call "candyglass," and they're gorgeous; I count more than twenty of them. I think a few of the smallest round bluish beads are plastic, but almost everything in this mix is stone or glass. (Well, there might be a few fiber-optic tiny rounds in there, too.)$16 $14 SOLD
aqua mix #2: it's a mystery. $5
... blue mix #1: Yes, those flattened round beads of blue with metallic flecks and veining are indeed lapis lazuli, and I see four of them in here. They were expensive. So were the glass chevron beads. Then there's the rest of them, which I won't even count up. This is a serious bargain at$17 $15. SOLD
blue mix #2: it's a mystery. $4
... periwinkle blues mix #1: it's a mystery. With a few very cool lampwork beads. $4 SOLD
... blue-violet mix #1: it's a mystery. A very fully packed, kind of heavy mystery. With some little spiral beads, and I don't know what all. $8 SOLD
purple bead mix #1: Whooee! There's a bag of tiny faceted amethyst rondelles in here, and one nice big thick twisted oval bead of amethyst with various inclusions, which I have tried to show. (Various views all of the same amethyst bead; there's only one in here.) The two faceted pinkish beads in the upper triangle tray and all the matte-finish round beads that look like beach glass in the lower triangle tray are plastic. The approximately two dozen purple/clear smaller rounds in that lower tray, though, are glass with a lustre finish, and they would be gorgeous in a strung necklace. The other beads in the trays are all glass, including some of my favorite mottled blue-purple glass (I think it's called "glow finish") in tiny faceted rondelles in the lower right tray, next to the spirals. Outside the trays, next to that amethyst oval, there are two glass givre tablet beads, four large flat square beads of that stuff with what looks like a watered-satin finish that I keep seeing labeled as either enstatite or hypersthene (but I am dubious about the nomenclature yet, since my research leads me into a thicket of confusion from which I do not emerge until long after the goblins of Mindat and Wiki have had their way with me, not to mention the naughty pixies of a million beadstore sites playing fast and loose with use-names), five of those pierced dyed shell square beads (which look really nifty with another bead strung inside the square -- use seed beads as spacers if the interior bead isn't as big as you'd like), and a rather nice charoite round that I've taken a close-up shot of there at the end. There's $20 worth of fun in this bag, easy, but you can have it for$16 $15.
... purple bead mix #2, a.k.a. the monster purple mix: Yeeeah, what hasn't this mix got? It's got a pair of big molded rectangular lampwork beads with clear glass encasement and metallic shimmer accents inside. It's got more than thirty dark purple rondelles with metallic shimmer on one side. It's got sixteen lacy puffed coin glass beads which are darker purple on one side, three pairs of really neat blue-violet square beads with very interesting faceting pattern, two huge dyed howlite long beads, a little baggie of tiny purple crystal beads, seven lavender spiral beads that glisten, and more. The beads in the white triangle tray are plastic, but I love them anyhow. And those five long tapered oval beads were labeled "chinese charoite," which is a ridiculous name in my opinion, but they are nice purple stone beads in their own right. A good-sized bag of beady goodness for$25 $20. SOLD
... purple bead mix #3, a.k.a. the little purple mix: Everything here is glass except the four round "beach glass" finish pale round beads, which are actually plastic, but they're very cool plastic, and quite useful, I find. The big rectangular bead is a neat piece of apparently molded lampwork with clear glass encasement and metallic accents inside. I put in a lot of purple glass with metallic shimmer on one side in a sort of coppery finish as well. There are seven givre tablet beads, a pair of lacy puffed coin beads that are paler on one side than the other, some eensy crystals, some bigger crystals with very shiny finish on one side, and five really interesting blue-violet rectangular beads in a cut that I'd never seen before when I bought them.$11 $10 $9 SOLD
... purple bead mix #4: the thick twirled oval bead in my hand is an amethyst with inclusions; I tried to show you both sides, but there's only one of those in the package. I strongly the tiny faceted rondelles in the eensy baggie are also amethyst. The 21 round matte-finished round beads that look like beach glass, in the triangle tray, are the aforementioned plastic, but they're really nice beads for all that. Light, too, which has its advantages over actual beach glass. The square frames are dyed shell, the little triangles (which are delicately faceted) are a mystery to me because I can't tell if they're glass or stone, and most everything else is glass. Oh, except for that singular oval greyish-lavender bead: that's lepidolite. Cool, huh?$12 $10 SOLD
... purple mix #5: it's a mystery. $5 SOLD
Findings grab bags:
findings bag #1: memory wire, cell phone charm findings, a clip-comb, and earring findings and extra-long fine headpins in gold filled.$7 $6
findings bag #2: memory wire, cell phone charm findings, a little cat charm, and some eyeglass holder ends.$5 $4
Copies of Glass Bead Games, the anthology:
You know those Artists' Challenge stories, and the haiku earring poems, and the other cool things people write sometimes when a named jewelry piece I made catches their fancy? Well, we put together an anthology of stories and poems and essays sparked by various shiny things I've made. 300 numbered copies, published by Inner Magpie Press, 2008. $25
Leftover Beads of the Month packages - a rare opportunity!
Usually when the month's over, these are not gettable, but we had a few that were held for people who upgraded, or put in a Very Safe Place by Elise and only found recently. They are not marked down, but the fact that they are available at all is a rare opportunity. Little Bitty Magpies are $12.50, Great Big Magpies are $25, and Mother Of All Magpies are $50. The information on all the themes is in the Beads of the Month LJ, in the Year Six info post. I also posted some sneak previews of some months. The links below lead to the info sheets for those months, if they are online.
... March - "Here Comes the Sun: Beads Inspired by the Music of the Beatles": Little Bitty Magpie (SOLD)
... April - "Showers and Flowers": Little Bitty Magpie (SOLD), Mother Of All Magpies (SOLD)
June - "Mermaid Parade": Little Bitty Magpies (1 SOLD, 5 left), Great Big Magpies (11), Mother of All Magpies (1)
... July - "Frida Kahlo": Mother Of All Magpies (SOLD)
August - "What the Lioness Likes": Great Big Magpies (1 SOLD, 4 left), Mother Of All Magpies (SOLD)
... There is a leftover September Mother Of All Magpies package here, so for the first time ever (and almost certainly the only time ever), you have a chance to buy a Pirates package and actually know a few things that are in it first. The last photo shows a bone cat bead, for those of you asking for cat beads; other than that, I see a bit of lampwork, some beading thread, and lots of other goodies. Pirate packages are randomly chosen; we keep a giant basket all year, and any time I do inventory and say, "Hmm, there are four leftover ocean jasper beads, and look, garnets that are too tiny for me to use but a bead stringer would love them, and oh, what should we do with this amazonite?" I get out the little bags and add those things to the stash. There's no telling what goes into any Pirates bag. This is as close as we'll ever come. SOLD
... and there might be one or two October Great Big Magpies left, if you jump fast. (1 SOLD, 1 left, unless there's another stashed that I don't know about.)
Beads of the Month Year Seven:
There is a special discount on multi-month subscriptions purchased in the sale. Note: these subscriptions must be paid in full by the end of this month, or the special discount does not apply.
The month-by-month themes for Year Seven, plus information on packages and prices, can be found here. If you purchase a multi-month subscription during the clearance sale, you can either take 10% off or get a special bonus bag of beads custom-selected by the Lioness. To order, make sure you cc botmo@lioness.net when you email your clearance sale order to gimme@lioness.net, OK? That way we'll make sure to get you on the rosters and get you your bonus. Thanks!
MOAMs for April (Astronomy), October (Dinosaurs & Stromatolites) and November (Treasures of the Ancient World) are sold out, and therefore we cannot accept any orders for ten or morepackage-deals of MOAMs. GBMs and LBMs for those months are still available, though.
As always, the only way to actually purchase these things is to send email to gimme@lioness.net and tell us what you want to buy. Elise (that's me!) will reply to confirm your purchase, and Daniel will send you a total. Now that I've told you that secret, feel free to comment here, safe in the knowledge that you can't accidentally buy something (or put dibs on it) just by remarking on it. Remark! Remark in comfort!
Shipping is usually $6.50 in the U.S. and Canada and $8.50 elsewhere in the world, unless things are especially heavy or want insurance or something. (If you get a bunch of tektites, it's going to get heavy. Just sayin'. And with a book, yeah, definitely, -- though Daniel knows the secrets of flat rate boxes.) We'll do our best to keep shipping affordable, but we strongly recommend insurance for expensive things. We cannot replace uninsured packages. Daniel tells me international insured mail is actually a comparatively affordable option now; who knew? Besides, the tracking will let you watch your package approach you, which is a great reassurance. Ask Daniel for a quote; the gimme@lioness.net address will reach him, or catch him directly at stitchandlioness@gmail.com.

Named pendants: all gone!
... "Atomic Scarab Lounge" pendant: ceramic, dyed pearl, sterling silver.

... "Enchanted Ground" pendant: another piece of that jasper that was labeled "amethyst sage," plus a color-treated cultured freshwater pearl and some sterling silver.
... "The Escape" pendant: tektite and sterling silver. Can you tell I like this one a lot? I took so many pictures because it has so much coolness.
... "The Feast of Lovers" pendant: lampwork goodness; the little one is by an unknown artist, and the long one is by Anne Marie Herlich. On sterling silver.
... "For Love of the Oldest Ones" pendant: dragon blood jasper, GF wire.
It hangs down nicely when you wear it, though; I just like it swinging freely because it trembles a tiny bit as you move, which gives the aventurescence a chance to play a little.
... "How Aunt Tessa Got To Be Rich" pendant: quartz with lots of inclusions, gold filled wire.
... Key to Fairyland #6: lampwork and other glass, gold filled beads and wire.
... "Last Call" pendant: dyed agate slab, turquoise in matrix, sterling silver.

... "Somewhere Past the Sky" pendant: rose plume agate, glass, sterling silver.

... "The Standing Stone" pendant: tektite, two color-treated cultured freshwater pearls encased in faceted resin, and sterling silver.

... "Tigers of the Deep" pendant: blue tigereye and GF wire.
... "Tinkerbelle Explains Gravity" pendant: blue riolita, blue chalcedony, GF beads and wire.

Unnamed pendants and similar goodies: all gone!
... aquamarine centerpiece bead:
... another aquamarine centerpiece bead:
Winterfair goodies: planet bead pendants - all gone!
... Planet bead I. pendant: probably more of an asteroid than a planet, this ocean jasper bead has a little druzy cave on one side. Sterling silver wire.
Planet bead F.F. pendant: a brown stone bead with interesting delicate striations on one side and nearly-imperceptible streaks of red, on sterling silver.
... Planet bead M.M. pendant: an ocean jasper pendant with a crater and other interesting markings, on sterling silver.
Named necklaces: two left, plus "The Waters of Twilight"
... "Carnival of Sinners" necklace: glass and sterling silver.
... "Doll with a Ghost in It, II" necklace: glass, wood, plastic, vintage buttons, sterling silver, a tiny glass bottle with a pearl and some really spooky corroded pins in it, and so on. This is a major piece of work. It was on hold for a very long while, but it's up for grabs now.
"My Tidepool Beloved necklace: glass, Peruvian opal, aquamarine, prehnite, prasiolite, lampwork, sterling silver. This necklace has a detachable ornament that can be put wherever you like it; the necklace may also possibly be worn as a belt. (Or I suppose you could make the world's chunkiest wraparound bracelet.) It's seventy-six and a half inches long without the ornament.
... "The Salmon of Wisdom's Last Will and Testament" necklace: glass and sterling silver.
"Taking My Baby Back To Clown Jail" necklace: glass and sterling silver.
Necklace-crowns: all gone!
... "And Woven All of Delight" necklace-crown: pearls and sterling silver.
This, too, was stashed and never officially priced, so..... for the sale, it can be

Meteorite: NWA869
Sahara Desert, near Tindouf, Algeria
Found in 1999
Type: H5 Common chondrite
This meteorite is one of thousands of new finds that have come out of the deserts of northwest Africa. They are being found by Bedouin nomads, who then carry them to market centers in Morocco and Tunisia. While most meteorites are named for towns or landmarks near where they are found, any location information for these have been lost. The Meteorite Nomenclature Committee has declared that meteorites found in this manner should be given the name NWA (NorthWest Africa). If a stone is analyzed and given a classification, a number is appended to the NWA showing the order in which it was analyzed.
While most people think of irons when meteorites are mentioned, the stoneys actually make up the vast majority of what actually falls to Earth (over 90%). They only make up about 10% of the over 27000 meteorites actually found.
The early solar system was originally composed of a cloud of gas and dust that began to contract. As it contracted, particles began to bump against one another and stick. Over time these small clumps grew from microscopic to a few millimeters in size, and began to be subjected to static electric discharges which melted them, and they would cool into small spheroids known as chondrules. The chondrules continued to coalesce, forming larger bodies, including the planets and asteroids. Common chondrites have asteroids as their parent bodies. All common chondrites are composed mainly of a form of silica (hypersthene bronzite). However, they are broken down into three subtypes: ‘H’ (for those with a high (hence the ‘H’) amount of iron-nickel (up to 20% by weight); ‘L’ for those with a lower amount of iron-nickel; and ‘LL’ for those with very low iron-nickel content. Chondrules can undergo further melting by the high pressures which can exist inside the parent asteroid. The amount of melting they undergo is given a number from 3 (no melting) to 7 (completely melted). This is called the Petrographic Grade. A value of 5 means that the chondrules have undergone some melting, but are still recognizable.

12mm round:

Exceptionally interesting single beads of various materials from my bead stash: all gone!
... ceramic two-sided face bead: has vertical hole, as well as a side-to-side hole set high on the bead in case you want to make a lovely short strung necklace with it. I think the two-hole thing is really neat, and haven't seen many beads like this.
...ceramic two-sided bead: sunface on one side, japanese woman on other; has vertical hole as well as side-to-side high hole for stringing as short necklace.

gold-washed glass beads: The seller said, "24 karat gold washed!" I actually have no idea what that means, but they're pretty and they stay very shiny.
Hee!)
red mix #1: it's a mystery. $2
yellow-brown mix #1: it's a mystery.
olive mix #1: it's a mystery.
... pale green mix #1: There's a large faceted round prehnite bead in here that cost me $1 several years back, plus two even larger lovely matched prehnite beads in the curved rectangular shape I always think of as "perfume bottles." (Gotta love the inclusions in prehnite, too.) There's some green stone (is it dyed? is it natural?) that was sold to me as "grass-green agate," though it is neither grass-green nor exhibiting striations that might suggest agate nature, but it's still cool, and a long piece pierced near the end which was sold to me as "apple-green agate" which hath not striations either, but there ya go: nomenclature is a slippery thing in bead markets.
They're cool, though.) At least 15 malachite rounds, the azurite-malachite big round, the curious irregular polished stone nugget tricky-colored beads... oh, call it
green mix #2: it's a mystery. $5
... aqua mix #1: The two elongated irregular nugget beads are aquamarine, from a string I've been hoarding like mad. (Well, there might be a few fiber-optic tiny rounds in there, too.)
aqua mix #2: it's a mystery. $5
... blue mix #1: Yes, those flattened round beads of blue with metallic flecks and veining are indeed lapis lazuli, and I see four of them in here. They were expensive. So were the glass chevron beads. Then there's the rest of them, which I won't even count up. This is a serious bargain at
blue mix #2: it's a mystery. $4
... periwinkle blues mix #1: it's a mystery.
There's $20 worth of fun in this bag, easy, but you can have it for
... purple bead mix #2, a.k.a. the monster purple mix: Yeeeah, what hasn't this mix got? A good-sized bag of beady goodness for
... purple bead mix #3, a.k.a. the little purple mix: Everything here is glass except the four round "beach glass" finish pale round beads, which are actually plastic, but they're very cool plastic, and quite useful, I find. The big rectangular bead is a neat piece of apparently molded lampwork with clear glass encasement and metallic accents inside. I put in a lot of purple glass with metallic shimmer on one side in a sort of coppery finish as well. There are seven givre tablet beads, a pair of lacy puffed coin beads that are paler on one side than the other, some eensy crystals, some bigger crystals with very shiny finish on one side, and five really interesting blue-violet rectangular beads in a cut that I'd never seen before when I bought them.
... purple bead mix #4: the thick twirled oval bead in my hand is an amethyst with inclusions; I tried to show you both sides, but there's only one of those in the package. Cool, huh?
... purple mix #5: it's a mystery. $5 SOLD

You know those Artists' Challenge stories, and the haiku earring poems, and the other cool things people write sometimes when a named jewelry piece I made catches their fancy?
Thanks for looking at my shinies.
