chapbook information to come soon
Well, the chapbook -- anthology, I suppose I should say -- has gone to the printers, so I will be telling you a bunch more about it soon, particularly how to pre-order it should you want one.

For now, I'll just say that it contains three stories (reprints) by Elizabeth Bear plus photographs of the jewelry that helped inspire them, three stories (reprints) by Sarah Monette plus photographs likewise, one essay from Sarah Monette ("Rhino Carries the Moon") plus a photo of its namesake, original poetry from Jane Yolen, Beth Meacham, Ariel Franklin-Hudson, and Betsy Lundsten, plus an introduction from Lois McMaster Bujold talking about her awards necklace. I am very grateful to Jana Pullman for her work on making this a real book, and to Debbie Notkin for helping it be a well-corrected real book, and to Sheila Perry for all sorts of important things and David Dyer-Bennet likewise, and other people too, whom my brain is too fuzzy to list right now but will remember later.

Oh, and pre-orders will only be available to members of Fourth Street, since the book release party is my big Friday night shindig there, with readings by all sorts of Artists' Challenge and Haiku Earring folks, including Bear and Sarah. Makes it simpler to just hand out pre-orders there. Once we're through Fourth Street, the remaining books will be available directly from me, and I'll put up a notice here about that.

OK. Gonna rest some more now. Odd how much work typing is, when one is recuperating. Y'wouldn't think so, but there it is. (And Jana and Debbie both deserve extra praise and thanks, because they've been hit by the evil bug too.)

I always find that typing is not the thing that tires me out. It's the thinking before the/as I'm typing. ;)

Get better soon.
